My name is Delana Mitchell-Sandiford, and I am a Year 1 MEd student with a focus on Youth Guidance at the University of the West Indies. I am a passionate and purpose-driven educator with a strong commitment to holistic development and student well-being. Through ongoing study and reflection, I continuously strive to create inclusive, learner-centered environments that promote critical thinking, life skills, and emotional intelligence.

My approach to teaching is grounded in constructivist and social learning theories, emphasizing the importance of active learning, positive role modeling, and meaningful student-teacher relationships. I believe that education goes beyond academics- it’s about empowering students with the tools to navigate real-world challenges and make positive choices.
